  • What should I do if I suspect I have a mold, air quality, or other indoor environmental quality issue?

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS), and the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, & Restoration Certification (IICRC), you should use a consultant (like LRC) who DOES NOT also perform remediation services. LRC ONLY performs assessments and develops professional protocols to address any issues found.

  • Is mold dangerous?

It depends. It's important to find out if you have a bigger problem in your house. Some mold is going to be in the air, but some mold can be extremely dangerous. If you suspect mold growing in your home, reach out to us for a mold assessment in Raleigh, NC today.

  • How much does a typical mold, or Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ), assessment cost?

The cost can vary depending on the size of the structure being evaluated, the severity of the potential problem, and the types of tests being performed. According to multiple internet sources, the cost for residential testing is typically between $300 for basic inspection (without sampling) to over $1,000 for extensive testing and/or large homes. The national average for a standard residential inspection on a moderate-sized home is around $650 to $670, according to Bob Vila, Home Advisor, and other sources.
